About the event
This is one of the most stunning hikes in our country. We will hike and camp next to the world's tallest waterfall. The views are breathtaking and we will be hiking in Spring, so the falls will be flowing and terrain will be at its most beautiful.
Location: Meet Up at the Reception area of the Wietsiehoek Lodge.
Time: 9.00am as we will depart with the shuttle at 9.30am
Difficulty: 3/5 - Intermediate (If your a beginner there is an option to hire a Potter who will carry all your bags up and carry them down the next day - that will make the hike alot more easier and more enjoyable)
Distance: 6Km on Day one, and 6Km back the next day.
Cost: R1999pp (Includes Overnight Hiking Fees and 4x4shuttle, includes Supper and Breakfast) Excludes R80pp conservation Fee which is payable as you enter the Gate.
If you need a Potter to carry your stuff it will be an additional R1200 (Must be communicated early so we can make arrangements for someone to come carry your stuff)
What to Bring:
- Hiking Bag (these can be hired for R150 for the weekend)
- Sleeping Bag
- Sleeping Pad (goes under your sleeping bag to give an extra layer of warmth,)
- Hiking Tent (must be a hiking tent and not a camping Tent - can contact us for more info if your confused on the difference)
- Raincoat Poncho (Incase rain, this will keep you and your bad dry)
- Light Snacks + Lunch to keep you filled during the day
- Drinking Water (Water will be available on top of the mountain as well directly from the Waterfall)
- Touch or Headlamp to see at night.
- Toilet Paper
- Matches
- Hand Sanitizer or Soap
- Cutlery (Cup, Plate, Bowl, Spoon and Fork preferably plastic or aluminium as it's lightweight and easier to carry)
- Warm Clothing (beanie, gloves as it can sometimes get chilly at night)

No refunds if your a No-Show. (We will offer a hiking voucher which you may redeem on future hikes)
We will be climbing up the chain ladders so if your afraid of heights or feel you might not be able to make it. Please Do Not Join as it might ruin the experience for other people.
