About the event
One of the most beautiful hikes in South Africa.
There's no other Hike in the Drakensberg where you can witness such Epic Views with as minimum effort required to complete this Hike.
So we will be camping on Top of the mountain next to the official Worlds Tallest Waterfall.
The hike take an average of 3 to 3.30 hours to get to the Campsite. There are two routes one is via Chain Ladders
and the other is via the Gully. The chain ladder route is alot easier, whilst the Gully route requires quite abit of effort to complete.
So we will be providing Transport from Pietermaritzburg. If you prefer traveling yourself then the meet up spot will be at the
Witsieshoek Mountain Lodge. From there we will take the shuttle to Sentinel Peak to the location where we will begin the hike.
So once we arrive, we will set up Camp and then do some small exploring to different view points where we can all take some
awesome photos.
Difficulty Rating: Moderate Fitness (as you will be carrying your belongings, so might be challenging for an absolute beginner)
The first section of the hike (ZigZag) is the most challenging section as you Zizag your way UpHill, after this section its mostly flat
up until the ladders.
