Grey Mares Tail Waterfall Hike - Karkloof

The most beautiful Hike in the Howick area. Let's go explore this hidden Gem. Meet Up is at the Shawswood Farm in Karkloof at 8.00. The hike will then begin at 8.30 sharp.

Cost: R200pp this includes the Entry fee at the Shawswood Farm. (Do not make payment if your early as we will pay for the entire group to Save time)

Total Distance: 6Km

Terrain: Forest, rocky, waterfall.

Difficulty: Advanced Beginner (Kids over 12 Welcome to Join) - Not too many hills but there is some rock scrambling right before the Waterfall.

What to Bring: Water, Snacks, Comfortable shoes, and a backpack to carry belongings.

Optional: a towel, there are some river crossings so if you don't want to get your shoes wet, you can remove them and wipe your feet after crossing the river.

Please Note: There will be transport available from Pietermaritzburg. Pick Up at Mac Donald in Burger Street at 7.00am. Only 10 Mins grace period will be allowed if your late.

The signal is very poor at the Farm, so please try to be on time as it will be difficult to communicate if your running late.

No refund if your a no show. If the weather is bad, the Hike will be postponed to the next earliest available date.
