About the event

Explore the beautiful Cumberland Nature Reserve, come see why this place is regarded as the most beautiful spot for Hiking in Pietermaritzburg. We might be blessed with sightings of Kudu, Buck, Girrafe and other Antelope on the hiking trails. The hike we will be doing is the Kranz, it's mostly Flat, and the views are out of this world.

Distance: 6Km Total

Difficulty: Advanced Beginner (Kids 10 and older welcome to Join)

Cost: R180pp (this includes entry fee to the Reserve)

Time: 9.30am - 1.30pm (Please be on time as there is very limited signal, and we won't be able to communicate)

Location: Cumberland Nature Reserve (PMB)

What to Bring: Enough drinking water, snacks, comfortable shoes and a backpack to carry your belongings.

Please Note: There will be a special access Code to enter the Gate on the day. Please stay in contact with Us to recieve the access Code or Join our Whatsapp group.

There is a Gravel road about 5Km before the reserve, but it's nothing to hectic, suitable for a regular Sedan.

You will arrive at the Gate enter the Code followed by the Hash key, drive straight and follow the sign to the picnic site.

No refunds If you are a No-Show. Cancellations to be done in advance, refunds take 3-4 working days to process.

If the weather is bad the Hike will be postponed to the next available date.
